Rehearsal
FAQs
Welcome All!
We have a few new policies for current & future productions! These new policies are to ensure a safe space for actors (and parents!) to bring their best selves and creativity to rehearsals!
1
Always be on time! Punctuality is an important life skill and shows respect for your director and fellow actors.
2
Parents may not show up to rehearsals without advance notice provided – the idea is to give our student directors, especially, an uninterrupted creative process.
3
Many of our plays are student directed. This will be made clear in the promotion for each student-directed play ahead of registration, so parents are informed. We understand the desire for transparency on this front.

In the past we have flexibly tolerated drop-outs after auditions. The problem with this is that we accept all actors who have auditioned, cast them quickly following auditions, and sometimes even tailor or write parts specifically for them. So if an actor drops out after auditions, we are left having to scramble and alter the script. This can lead to stress, extra logistical work, and most importantly, decreased confidence for student writers and directors. Therefore, we are instituting a no-dropouts after auditions policy, barring medical reasons. If you drop out after auditions you will be required to pay a fee. Please understand that this is to protect our production team and our student writers and directors, and carefully consider your commitments prior to auditioning.
