ZOO STORIES
These plays, both revivals of celebrated past SCTG productions, were presented as a set of films, shot in spring 2021 under COVID restrictions in a single day, following a season of Zoom rehearsals. Written and directed by Broderick Miller.
THE WINDOW - Trapped in a sealed art gallery, with their air supply running low, a group of desperate strangers clashes, bonds and exchanges intimate confidences about the nature of art and the evanescence of life while waiting for rescue — or death. As the inhabitants turn on each other and within themselves, a Freudian thriller emerges with its own original nervous drive and insistent presence.
THE COLOR AND THE NOISE - A group of classmates attending their ten-year high school reunion are arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct. Stuck in a jail cell together, they gradually discover that their arrest was no accident. Suspicions and accusations mount as they are forced to confront the ripple effect of decisions made in their youth.
